NFT
A recent survey found that while gamers may be against the use of NFT (nonfungible token) integration in games, most are willing to play if they have the opportunity to earn cryptocurrency.
Zeebedee, a fintech company, announced the results of a survey that asked gamers in the United States about their experiences with crypto and their feelings toward it.
Research shows that 67% more people would play free games if there were crypto rewards. 45% of survey participants believe there are advantages to trading characters and items with other gamers, while 23% think it could have a negative impact. The remaining 32% didn’t comment.
These are just a few of the findings from the survey. 27% of respondents expressed interest in earning Bitcoins (BTC) through games, while only 5% expressed an interest in NFTs. This indicates that gamers are more interested in earning Bitcoin (BTC) in play-to earn (P2E), games, than just getting NFTs.
Ben Cousens is the chief strategy officer at Zeebedee. He stated that the survey revealed that gamers are either positive or neutral about crypto rewards. The executive also noted that Bitcoin interest was high. Cousens explained this:
“Despite the bulk of industry attention being focused on NFTs, we found that Bitcoin stands out as the most popular decentralized asset amongst gamers when compared against other cryptocurrencies, including NFTs.”
Of the respondents that hold cryptocurrencies, the researchers found that 55% don’t hold cryptocurrencies. The remainder hold Bitcoin, Ether (ETH), or Dogecoin(DOGE).

A survey was also published on July 15, which revealed that one in three gamers are interested in crypto in the Metaverse. A survey found that P2E gaming was well-received by 40% of gamers who wanted to earn and play within the Metaverse.
